Whistler Fire & Ice
It’s a weekly tradition during wintertime inWhistler. The Fire & Ice show is a spectacular displayof daring and skill as snowboarders and skiers jump through a ringof fire! Every Sunday during the Winter season in skiers plaza at6:30pm, you will see Live DJ’s, Fireworks and Fire Spinners.
This is a great event for the whole family.Bring some warm clothes & grab a hot choc.
Jump Off Fridays
Fancy a big night out on the town? You can’t gopast Garfs, they’re conveniently located right in the village.
Garfinkels is Whistlers Biggest night club, andon Friday’s they host this great event.
With a seriously talented rotation of Whistler andVancouver’s top Dj’s combined with Whistler’s best drinkspecials, Garf’s is the number one Party spot, hands down.
Jump Off Fridays are also great because all drinks areonly $4.25.

King Of The Rail
King Of The Rail is a series of rail-jam contests hostedby showcase. These run on selected evenings at the base ofWhistler mountain. The next one happens on March 3rd 2012, at 7:00PM.
Rail Jam contests are an awesome event towatch; these guys are seriously skilled, great fun for thewhole family.

The Opportunity of a Lifetime
The Whistler SabbaticalProject offered a unique experience each week for 15 weeks.They ranged from culinary experiences, to dancing on stage with ago-go dancer, to performing live with a recording artist, aride-along with a snow groomer, overnight ziplining, heli skiing, aFirst Nations dance off, a spa retreat and the opportunity to skior ride with a local Olympian… just to name a few!
Each week we were presented with an experienceand asked “Would You Do It?” Contest entries were earned each timethe poll was answered. You can view the experiences by watching theWhistler vignettes.

The skiing and riding conditions in Whistler are trulyamazing! January was an incredible month which saw 244 cmof new snow and the total snow fall to 707 cm or over 23 feet! Thecurrent snowbase on Whistler Blackcomb Mountains is sitting at avery healthy 255 cm.
February so far has been awesome. The first dayof the month started with 14 cm of fresh snow and the skies havebeen sunny for the last few days. More snow is in theWhistler forecast for the weekend.
