Whistler's Millennium Place Celebrates a Nifty November

Whistler Millennium Place celebrates November 2007 with a strong series of events.

Snowboarder, mountain biker and artist Vanessa Stark shows her work throughout November in the Scotia Art Gallery.

Charlie Russell gives his expert insight into the world of bears on Wednesday November 14 with a reception starting at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation commencing at 7:30 p.m.

Susan AglukarkWinner of 3 JUNO awards, singer–songwriter Susan Aglukark brings her unique and wonderful music to Millennium Place on Saturday November 17. Susan Aglukark blends the Inuktitut and English languages with contemporary pop music arrangements to tell the stories of the Inuit from her northern heritage. Reception starts at 7 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8 p.m.

Official representatives of the Squamish and Lil’wat Nations will welcome Susan to the stage. Elena Rivera MacGregor, Principal and Creative Director of Rivera Design Group, creators of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games emblem will host a 7pm pre–show reception. Hear about the emblem design process, and enjoy some very interesting stories.
