Whistler Road Report - June 12 2009
Alpine Paving will continue with the installation of the Hydro duct line and manholes along the east side of the highway (adjacent to the northbound lanes) Highway 99 between Hillcrest Road and Blueberry Drive. In addition, Alpine will continue rock excavation works in the between Blueberry Drive and the Brio Entrance, hauling rock from Panorama Ridge to the Lakecrest Pond area, and rock drilling / blasting in the Brio area while commencing sawcutting on the west side (adjacent to the southbound lanes) of Highway 99 between Function Junction to Alta Lake Road. Please be cautious of traffic pattern changes in the area.
The following is the construction schedule and associated traffic control measures to be implemented:
JUNE 15 TO JUNE 20
Highway 99 Whistler Improvements Project - Highway 99 between Function Junction and Panorama Ridge:
Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Short sections of lane shifts / diversions along the length of the work area with less than five-minute delays for traffic control personnel assisted truck access and egress;
Monday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. / Friday, 9 a.m. to noon: Short sections of single lane alternating traffic patterns along the length of the work area with less than 15-minutes delays for off-loading materials and pouring concrete / backfill material;
Monday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. / Friday, 9 a.m. to noon: Intermittent short duration stoppages resulting in a 15-minute delays for blasting procedures in the Brio area;
JUNE 22 TO JUNE 27
