Whistler's spectacular summer kicks into high gear, and what better way to mark the new season than with

Whistler Art Workshops on the Lake Series #1 - June 1 to 3
First in the new series of Art Workshops on the Lake is How to Paint Snow, Water and Skies with a Limited
Palette. Suitable for beginners and advanced students of art, this three-day watercolour workshop is with
artist and instructor Jack Reid. Jack's work can be seen at the Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont Hotel
in Whistler, Jasper, and Banff and viewed at www.jackreid.com.
The Whistler Art Workshop on the Lake Series runs throughout the summer at rustic Chaplainville House,

Summer Glacier Skiing & Snowboarding on Blackcomb Mountain opens June 4
The sun is shining, the lakes are sparkling, it's the perfect time to go skiing and riding. Whistler Blackcomb
enjoys the longest ski season in North America with spring skiing and snowboarding on Blackcomb Mountain
continuing through June 3. Hardcore winter enthusiasts need not despair since Blackcomb's famed glacier
opens June 4. The Blackcomb Glacier experience is recommended for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders,
and offers a perfect opportunity to hit the slopes while working on your tan.
The RBC Olympians Experience - June 8 to 10, 2007

The Royal Bank of Canada Olympians Experience tour is a free event and - at 5,000 sq. ft - is one of the
largest touring exhibits of its kind ever staged in Canada. The Tour features an opportunity to meet Canadian
Olympians and Paralympians, ride a snowboard simulator, play games that test one's hockey skills, and view
displays demonstrating the extraordinary training regimen of world class athletes. Fitness and training
experts will be on hand to answer questions and talk about what it takes to be an Olympian and Paralympian.
Outside the tent, the RBC Aerial Trampoline Team, an elite team of freestyle, snowboard and trampoline
athletes, will showcase their skills with a high-energy performance, high-flying performance. RBC Financial
Group created the RBC Olympians Experience Tour to give Canadians a taste of the excitement and spirit
of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, to celebrate Canada's Olympic heroes and to build nationwide
momentum for Vancouver 2010. Event runs Friday 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. -

Whistler Cancer Awareness & Prevention Walk - June 16, 2007
One step closer to awareness, prevention and a cure is the purpose of this Canadian Cancer Society of BC
fundraiser. Participants will walk distances ranging from five to 25 kilometres on Whistler's beautiful

Whistler Farmers' Market - Every Sunday starting June 17
Starting Father's Day, June 17, the Whistler Farmers' Market hits the pedestrian streets of the Upper
Village (near the Fairmont Chateau Whistler) every Sunday with artisans, crafts, organic and local
produce, jams, honey, baked goods, jewelry and much more. Runs every Sunday 11a.m.- 4p.m. until October
