Whistler Childrens Art Festival Day 1

The 28th annual Whistler Children's Festival is happening over the weekend of August 13th and 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a fun-filled weekend that features workshops led by professional artists in fine arts, crafts, theatre, multi-media, dance and music from across B.C. The festival also comes alive with free activities and entertainment by popular children's performers, roving musicians and zany characters.
The festival takes place in Whistler's Creekside at the base of the mountain across from Dusty's bar.
Workshops are run by professional artists, artisans and performers. They encourage young children to embrace their creativity, play and explore! Be sure to register in advance as workshops fill up quickly. Workshops are suitable for children aged3 years and up, with some workshops requiring adult supervision. Entertainment will include; Kokoma African Heritage Dance & Drum Ensemble, acclaimed children's performers The Kerplunks, GoGo Bonkers! and Music with Marnie, two children's plays by the Story Theatre Company, high-energy Brazilian performance by Aché Brasil, magic by Sheldon Casavant and enchanted comedy by Tickles and Yowza from Tickles & Family.
