Whistler Presents is a FREE outdoor concert series at the new Olympic Plaza. The OFFICIAL opening of the Olympic Plaza features Sam Roberts Band, Kathleen Edwards with host Jiang Homeshi.

Singer / songwriter and Juno winner Sam Roberts (image right) along with his band bring their rock / indi-rock musical stylings to Whistler for the official opening of the Olympic Plaza. The band's most popular singles include "Where Have all the Good People Gone", "hard Road" and "Brother Down".

Singer / songwriter and Juno winner Sam Roberts along with his band bring their rock / indi-rock musical stylings to Whistler for the official opening of the Olympic Plaza. The band's most popular singles include "Where Have all the Good People Gone", "Hard Road" and "Brother Down".

The band is taking a long trip betwen shows on the Eastern seaboard of the US to get to Whistler so when he arrives let's give the SRB (that's short for the Sam Roberts Band to you) a little extra hand clap love!

Kathleen Edwards

Kathleen Edwards is billed as an alternative country / folk artist. But what we have heard from her whatever label you want to put on her music she is good. Notable tunes from Kathleen include "Six O'Clock News" and "Hockey Skates". Sounds pretty Canadian eh?

Jiang Homeshi

And who better to host a made-in-Canada musical love-in and plaza opening than CBC Radio's Jiang Homeshi. Jiang is a notable musician in his own right with the band Moxy Fruvous. He puts on a pretty darn good radio show too and will be a great host for this special evening.
