If you are in Whistler for the
GranFondo bike event on Saturday September 10th, why not
stay the weekend and check out the free concerts presented by
Whistler Presents. The legendary Vancouver rockers 54-40
will be performing free at the Whistler Olympic Plaza on Saturday
evening at 7 p.m.
54-40 will be playing all their hits including "I Go Blind", "Nice to Luv You", "She La", "Ocean Pearl"and "Love You All". 54-40 was formed in the early 80s in Tsawwassen and was a college radio favourite with hits such as One Gun, One Day in Your Life, Ocean Pearl and others. They became famous when their song "I Go Blind" was covered in the mid-1990s by American band Hootie & the Blowfish, and was featured on the first soundtrack to the TV series Friends.
This is going to be a great evening to celebrate the GranFondo and experience the amazing outdoor venue at the new Whistler Olympic Plaza.
