The World Ski and Snowboard Festival is all about celebrating the best of winter sports. Sports events
include:

Outdoor Concert Series – TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival
The best musicians from across almost every genre, including hip-hop, rock, jazz, reggae, and alternative
to name a few, are united on one stage for ten days in what has become Canada’s largest free outdoor concert
series.
Main Stage located in Skier's Plaza, free concerts 2:30pm - 5:30pm.

Filmmaker Showdown – TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival

When the smoke clears after 72 hours of shooting, editing and producing a short film within 100 kilometres
of Whistler, all that's left on the creative battlefield is 100 exhausted filmmaking teams, eight incredible
finalists and the hottest tickets in the house. Whistler's infamous 72-hour Filmmaker Showdown has exploded
into one of the Festival's must-see showcases, and winning films go on to screenings around North America
and to television audiences in over 50 countries. The competition, open to amateurs and professionals,
teams or individuals - anyone who loves to make films, offers prizes worth $15,000, including a camera
and $2,000 cash. Witness the cutting edge of creative filmmaking at the Gala screening at the TELUS Conference
Centre.
Pro Photographer Showdown – TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival

Five of the world's best lifestyle and action sports photographers are set to compete for a $10,000 prize
in the Pro Photographer Showdown. At the Pro Photographer Showdown, the most dynamic moments in action
sports are captured and mounted, trophy-style, for an appreciative 2000-strong crowd in a series of self-curated,
nine-minute multimedia presentations.
