November in Whistler – 2015
You may wonder if anything actually happens in Whistler during the month of November. The days are shorter, the weather is stormy and the temperatures are cold. You will be surprised to know this a great month to visit.
November sees some of the best events of the year in Whistler. Cornucopia, Whistler’s Celebration of Food and Wine is one example. Held over the November long weekend this food and wine lovers festival features seminars, winemakers dinners, gala tasting events and infamous after parties.
As well some other great events (see below) there is much excitement and anticipation for the opening of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. The official opening date is November 26th, but stay tuned as rumour has it the mountains will be opening earlier this year! There is already a considerable amount of snow in the alpine and pro skiers and boarders have been testing the great early skiing conditions on the Blackcomb Glacier!

Cornucopia – November 5thth
Cornucopia is Whistler’s Celebration of Wine and Food and takes place over the November long weekend. Over the four days you can take part in a number of events, including wine seminars hosted by renowned industry professionals. You can also experience gala tasting events, winemaker’s dinners and famous after-parties. Cornucopia is now recognised as the “West Coast’s premier resort-based epicurean extravaganza”. Whistler Opening Day – November 26th

Whistler Film Festival – November 30th – December 4th
The Whistler Film Festival presents a selection of films from Canada and internationally. The Whistler Film Festival will be one of the top film festivals in the world and a must-attend for filmmakers and audiences. All film screenings will take place at theatres in the Whistler Conference Centre, Village 8 Cinemas and Millennium Place.
